Week 10

Cash Team

My thoughts on building Week 10.

I was paying down at QB this week, I needed the cash.  Too many expensive options at RB and WR, I had to sacrifice somewhere.  QB and a double TE team is what I went with.  I was comfortable with Brissett.  I had the Cardinals trailing this game and I figured the Brissett would be forced to throw the ball for most of it.  I was hoping to squezze 15 points out of him.

At RB, I was torn again.  I knew this was a spot you needed to get right to cash.  Dowdle was a lock.  At his price point and workload, It was an easy click.  I was torn on Achane and Cook.  Both similarly priced, both in great matchups.  I locked Achane in after leaning on the fact he is more utilized in the pass game, providing a safer floor with just as good of a ceiling.

At WR, I really was not comfortable with 4K range.  Jennings can bust out, Washington is unproven against a Texans defence that can just suffocate a game.  Tez Johnson, also not reliable.  Among the big 3, I decided to fade Puka.  I didn like the fact he missed time last week and the other 2 had better matchups.  JSN is a beast, the Cardinals were missing both starting RBs.  St.Brown was facing a Commanders defence that has surrendered the most points to his position.  Out of the 4K range WRs, I landed on Tez Johnson.  The Patriots are vulnerable thought the air and I liked the rested Bucs coming off a bye week

At TE, I had to save salary and went with a double TE team.  I loved Schultz, a check down safety net for Davis Mills, I loved his target projection.  Otton was facing a team that has given up the 7th most points to his position, coming off a bye and playing in a depleted WR core offense, I could not pass on his opportunity cost.

Maye has been the second most sacked QB in the league, I was happy to get the Bucs at 2700.

Overall, I am happy with my results.  JSN had 84 yards and a TD in the first quarter and did nothing else the rest of the game.  I am disappointed that St. Brown did not hit, he was the only Lion to really miss.  Otherwise, a strong result in a week that difficult choices had to be made.  I focused on game environments that provided a safer floor, a strategy that usually pays off for me.

Tournament Team

This week, I only entered 3 GPP teams.  I cashed in one of them.

This stack was a Lions triple with no bring back.  The Lions were coming off an embarrassing loss and with Dan Campbell having conversations with his OC, I thought the Lions would eat.  The stack speaks for itself, I will talk about the fill ins.

I am not sure what I as thinking at RB.  I simply was too cute.  I should have faded Dowdle, his ownership was way too high in a spot he could be average.  Judkins has bit me before, but I thought the Browns would run over a moral depleted Jets defense.

I needed salary savings and Dulcich is the TE1 in Miami.  Going 5 for 5 in week 9, I was happy to get 6-8 points from him.

The Browns DST played well with my Judkins pick.  Fields has been sacked a ton, it was a good fit.

Now for reality, who saw the Jets returning 2 kicks for TDs.  That simply killed the run game and had a very poor QB chasing a game they could not win.  Taking chances allowed the Jets to control the game, simply bad luck.  As for Dowdle, I should have went K.Williams and shaved the DST down.  A player carrying that much ownership, I know better than that.
